Edge Browser My Feed Page is Blank
Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
We do understand that you are looking for Advanced Options for Edge Chromium in Apps & feature settings. Edge Chromium is not and UWP app, due to which the Advanced Option is not available.
However, we are unable to see screenshot for the Edge Black screen problem. (Please follow the steps mentioned in the screenshot posted by Shawn 'Cmdr' Keene on Oct 2, 2015 to post the screenshots.) Do not share any personal information in the screenshots.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:
- What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
- Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?
- When do you get this issue, while accessing any specific website?
Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these methods and check.
Method 1: Disabling the hardware acceleration in Edge.
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Click on the three dots (…) from the right top corner.
- Select Settings from the drop down and click on System from the left pane.
- Toggle the switch to Off for Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Relaunch Edge and check.
Method 2: Reset Edge.
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Click on the three dots (…) from the right top corner.
- Select Settings from the drop down and click on Reset settings from the left pane.
- Select Restore settings to their default values
- Relaunch Edge and check
Disclaimer: This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. You favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.

When did this happened? Any error messages?
steps you can try:
1. Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it?
2. You can try scanning for corrupt system files.
3. There might be an issue with your display. Updating it might help.
4. Create a new user account.

I received a reply from support just now and I haven't yet attempted the suggestions. I have been using Chrome without the same issue. In Edge I have some links that look as if they will load but end up as a white screen.

- PaulPChou thanks for the help. No, I haven't tried to uninstallEdge or scan for corrupt files. This has been like this over a month but I'm not sure exactly when it started. There isnt an error message. When I click on a link it appears as if it is going to work but the screen goes white as if it is still trying. It doesn't do this in the Chrome browser so I dont think it's in the display. I have been using Chrome instead of Edge to avoid the problem.

Are you using the new Edge chromium or the old Edge? If you are using the old one, you can download the new Edge chromium and check. At least try creating a new account and see.

I found the solution for me. For reference I am using the new Microsoft Edge based on Chromium
I had to first get Edge working. To do this I opened task manager while Edge was running and ended the Microsoft Edge sub-tasks one by one until the edge interface appeared again.
Once the Edge interface was visible, I went into Settings > System > Use Hardware Acceleration When Availible and made sure the option was turned OFF.
This fixed it for me and now I can open edge with no issues.
Edge v81.0.416.58
NVIDIA GTX 1080
NVIDIA GeForce Driver 445.87

I hate to sound like a dummy but how do I tell if I have Edge chromium? This is what it shows in settings:
Microsoft Edge 44.18362.449.0. If that isn't the correct version then I suppose I just need to download the latest from the MS support site, right?
I checked the account settings and they appear fine.
